Step 1: Launching a cPanel Server on the OMC Cloud
Log in to your OMC Cloud account:
console.omc.cloud
Click Create New Server
From the list of images, choose:
“cPanel WHM”
Select suitable server specs (recommended minimum):
CPU: At least 2 cores
RAM: 4GB or more
Storage: SSD, 60GB or more
Click Create
Your new server will be ready within minutes!
Step 2: Initial Recommended Settings for Your New cPanel Server
Once the server is running:
Copy the IP address of your new server
Open a browser and go to:
https://your-server-ip:2087
(Example: https://203.0.113.10:2087)
A security warning may appear (this is normal at this stage):
Click Advanced → Continue or Proceed
You will now see the WHM login screen for cPanel.
First-Time WHM Login
Enter the initial credentials provided:
Username: root
Password: The one sent to you via email or shown in the OMC cloud interface
Step 3: cPanel Initial Setup Wizard
After logging in, you’ll be guided through the initial setup wizard:
License Agreement
Click I Agree
Admin Email Address
Enter your email to receive system notifications
DNS Nameservers
You may leave the defaults (e.g., ns1.yourdomain.com, ns2.yourdomain.com)
License Type
Choose the license you’ve purchased (or select the trial version)
Finish Setup
Click Save & Finish to complete the setup
Your cPanel server is now ready to use!
Step 4: Create Your First cPanel Account (for Hosting Your Website)
In WHM, go to:
Account Functions → Create a New Account
Fill in the following details:
Domain: Your website’s domain name
Username: For the hosting account
Password: A secure password
Email: Admin email for this website
Select or create a resource package, then click Create
You can now log in to your site’s cPanel interface via:
https://your-server-ip:2083
